Duties will include;

  • Planning of works and allocation of resources (E.g. People and Resources).
  • Verification of inspections.
  • Conformity checks (Materials, product and site verification).
  • Inspection and test planning.
  • Setting out, levelling and surveying the site.
  • Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Ensuring all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
  • Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant.
  • Liaising with any consultants, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
  • Liaising with the local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
  • Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors.
  • Planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Overseeing quality control, health and safety matters on site.
  • Preparing reports as required.
  • Add-hoc duties as required

Person Requirements

  • Willingness to lead by example, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all Microsoft packages and AutoCAD
  • Enthusiasm to research and present new ideas
  • Ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring deadlines are met
  • Passionate about promoting health and safety in the workplace.
  • Extensive knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence as extensive travel throughout the UK will be required.
  • Membership of ICE would be beneficial.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Relevant 2:1 or 1:1 Degree (Hons) or Equivalent Qualifications.

Previous experience of working in a similar position is desirable but not essential.
