You will provide a service to the public and businesses by dealing with all aspects of the process for a variety of planning and other applications e.g. for domestic and small scale businesses projects, listed building consents, advertisement consents, and applications to fell or top trees.

You will also be responsible for dealing with more complex applications with a greater degree of autonomy and discretion, appearing at public hearings and more straightforward public inquiries in dealing with appeals, leading discussions with developers and public sector development partners, and informing development of planning policy documents from a Development Management perspective.

You must possess a GCSE in Maths and English (Grade A-C) or equivalent, a degree in a spatial, environmental or similar discipline; or A first degree in Planning or equivalent, preferably recognised by the RTPI.
