Supporting the Indirects Buyer, you will collaborate cross functionally to identify, facilitate and optimise purchases for various Indirects categories including Travel Management and Consumables.

Key responsibilities 

  • Take ownership of allocated procurement categories

  • Support the negotiation of competitive cost prices and trading terms with suppliers

  • Manage, develop and control a dedicated procurement database, utilising e-Sourcing platforms to create documents for running tenders

  • Recommend, build and maintain relevant sourcing and supply reporting and KPIs.

  • Issue relevant reporting on time to key stakeholders with responsibility for data accuracy

  • Manage all methods of supplier on-boarding

  • Monitor relevant commodity markets and highlight recommendations and key trends to management

  • Update commodity reports for internal use and for customer presentations

  • Assist with procurement administration including resolving invoice queries

Key skills and experience

You will be highly organised and motivated, a real self-starter, with excellent computer skills and a proven analytical mind set. You will also have outstanding communication skills with the confidence to regularly present data to a range of stakeholders.

Ideally you will be a graduate of a business, numerical or IT related degree discipline and be willing to work towards a CIPS qualification or equivalent. Previous work experience within data analytics would be advantageous.

Originating from Yorkshire, Aunt Bessie’s, Jackson’s Bakery and the WJFG group office continue to be based in Hull, with MyFresh being based in Wigan and Bedford, and Abel and Cole in Andover and Wimbledon.

The role is based in Hull (Aunt Bessies) but will require travel across six sites; Aunt Bessies, Jacksons Bakery, My Fresh Wigan & Chicksands and Abel and Cole Andover & Wimbledon.

Jacksons and Aunt Bessie’s commutable from North Lincolnshire; Grimsby, Scunthorpe, North Yorkshire; Scarborough, York and West Yorkshire; Leeds.
