Salary: £16,495 to £18,426 per annum pro rata

Hull University Union is run by students (Presidents) who have been elected by their fellow students. These Presidents represent students in their academic life through societies and sports alongside other recreational activities. Are you experienced in food preparation, stock control and kitchen management? Are you able to prepare and present food to specification, ensuring smooth and constant service during busy periods? HUU are recruiting for a methodical, organised individual with a good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure for a role as a Commis Chef.
Working with the Catering Manager, the Commis Chef will assist in the effective and efficient preparation and delivery of food offered in HUSU facilities. In addition, the Commis Chef will assist with stock control and kitchen maintenance, in compliance with Health and Safety law and policies.
Food Safety knowledge essential (including Food Hygiene Level 2 or above or equivalent). COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), Health and Safety or work within a Students Union desirable.
