The multi-disciplined, multi-skilled Facilities team is supported by a strong supply chain and specialist service partners. Sewell Facilities are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year which is part of our Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Facilities Management (FM) Commercial Manager, the Assistant Commercial Manager will be responsible for day to day commercial activities within the business, relevant to their portfolio of Sewell customers. They will work closely with the wider commercial and operational teams, as well as our Group Finance Team, providing commercial support to help enable the delivery of a world-class customer service while maintaining a profitable and sustainable environment.

Hours

  • Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm
  • 37.5hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Reactive Invoicing and schedules
  • Contractual invoicing and sales invoicing
  • Cash collection
  • Issuing quotations, management of approvals and client follow up expired quotations
  • Weekly Maintenance Team timesheets and coding
  • Subcontractor market testing
  • Purchase ledger – Coding, approvals and queries
  • CVC review and budget adjustments
  • Journals of costs incorrectly posted
  • Pegasus customer/job number set up and amendments
  • Subcontract order execution and renewals prior to expiry dates of orders in place
  • MMT expenses – Authorisation & Job coding
  • Record contractor feedback using the Oracle system
  • Meter Readings – Enter and submit monthly

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous experience of managing budgets and providing commercial/finance services
  • Previous experience providing service and work quotations
  • Positive and professional attitude and be smart in appearance
  • Strong belief in delivering great customer service
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to prioritise a variety of tasks
  • Excellent levels of computer literacy and be comfortable with Microsoft packages in particular Outlook, Word and Excel
  • The ability to work as a team member in a busy and fast paced working environment
  • A positive approach to learning, development and progression and a flexible working attitude
  • Have the ability to work both as a team member and alone in a busy working environment
  • Have a flexible outlook towards hours worked

Desirable:

  • Full Driving Licence, valid in the UK and own transport
  • Formal accountancy/finance training and/or qualifications
