The University of Hull has secured £4m from the European Regional Development Fund and £2.5m of Regional Growth Funds from the Green Port Growth Programme, which will be added to the University’s own £multi-million investment, to fund the construction and implementation of the AIC. The funding will support access to AIC facilities and the provision of support from University and other experts. The programme of advice and support for low carbon innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Humber region will begin before the AIC is built, operating from the Centre, once construction is complete.
Accordingly, the University is now recruiting the AIC team to work with SMEs in the low carbon / offshore wind / renewables sectors within the Humber region and help develop and commercialise innovative new low carbon products and processes. We are seeking talented and experienced individuals for the following vacancy:
The Innovation Manager will travel across the Humber region to engage SMEs, support project planning and development and to evaluate outcomes. Acting as key account managers, the post holders will help businesses to secure direct support through the AIC and broker assistance from across the innovation eco-system where appropriate.
Based at the University of Hull in the first instance, the AIC team will relocate in due course to the Humber Bridgehead Business Park where the AIC is being constructed. The positions are fixed term for the duration of the programme. For further information visit: www.aurawindenergy.com
