Salary: £28,331 to £33,797 per annum

This is a full time, fixed term role.
The post holder’s portfolio will span a number of different areas but focus primarily on the WRIPA+ project and its needs. The duties of the post-holder will include, but not be limited to employer engagement, student placement support, reporting on KPIs and project milestones.
Overall Purpose of the Role
The role holder:
Will have a practical working knowledge of the high-tech SME sector in the Humberside region. Will be comfortable in organising and liaising between the physics department and local business to help facilitate industry-academic relationships.
Will be expected to provide support to students securing industrial placements. This will involve supporting students through the entire life cycle of the placement process from preparation to application to visiting students on placement.
Will have a detailed an extensive knowledge of strategies and techniques for helping students improve their overall employability skills. This will include direct student support, contributing to elements of the physics curriculum, or organising seminars / workshops for students.
Will work in partnership with the University Careers Service and share information on developments, opportunities and activities.
The work requires the use of initiative and judgement on how to address and resolve problems with minimal guidance and instructions from senior colleagues.
This role is fixed term for the duration of the project (December 2022).
