We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Collections Team as a Collections Officer, on a temporary basis until 31 January 2022.
The Collections Team calculate and collect council tax and business rates payments from the residents and businesses of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Working within this role, you will process changes/new accounts for council tax and business rates, carry out land registry searches, verify that all accounts hold accurate information and also respond to customer correspondence, ensuring that every customer contact counts, therefore excellent communication and organisational skills are essential to this role.
To be successful you will need to be an effective team player, organised with a positive attitude and have an understanding of council tax and business rates, along with the ability to work under pressure to achieve targets.
You will need to have a good level of interpersonal skills and be able to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Please note: This is a career graded post. There will be the opportunity to move through the grades once eligible criteria have been met.
