The University of Hull’s Student Recruitment and Marketing Team is looking to recruit a skilled Content Specialist to join the team.
The Content Specialist will play a key role in creating user focused, rich, engaging content across the University’s online and offline marketing platforms for our core market; prospective students. The role holder is required to have experience in copywriting and creating written content, with a strong understanding of the importance and best practice of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Experience of writing and creating content specifically for the youth market is desirable.
With direction and support from the Campaign and Creative Leads, the role holder will work with colleagues to develop content strategies to improve and increase performance and engagement on the website, across our social media platforms and campaigns (paid, owned and earned).You will help to use insight and data to drive the development of new content and recommend improvements where required. The objective will be to influence and shape the decisions of key audiences and the role holder will review new content trends, techniques and technologies to ensure content is relevant and engaging.
The role holder will build and nurture highly productive relationships with colleagues across the University, as well as partner organisations. Specifically, the Content Specialist will work closely with colleagues in the wider Marketing Team and Communications Team, building close working relationships with the Systems and Performance Team, Social Media Specialist, Content Editor and Faculty Business Partners.
