About the Delivery Lead job

Reporting into the Delivery Manager, the Delivery Lead will play a crucial role in the Software Development team providing the project management required to support specific deliveries. Providing appropriate plans, documentation, communication and administrative support and progress reports.

What you will do

  • Provide detailed delivery and project plans that are signed off as an achievable deliverable by the development team and key internal / external stakeholders
  • Provide principal customer interface for a specific project, to ascertain contract requirements and inform customer of progress
  • Where appropriate support the negotiation of contract variations, subcontract appointments and commercial considerations with the assistance of the Delivery Manager
  • Facilitation of and run project meetings with key stakeholders (including external) to review progress, assess and plan for any change
  • Working with relevant stakeholders within the department to provide customers with achievable dates for delivery and to be responsible and accountable for the achievement of dates provided


What you have already done

  • Experience working in a software development environment
  • MS Project experience and capable of creating complex interdependent plans. Ability to create plans to achieve varying goals and excellent report writing skills
  • Preferably PRINCE 2 qualified
  • Experience of systems and/or software implementations
  • Working knowledge of agile and/or waterfall and Scrum
