The requirements:

• In-depth experience and appreciation of the principles and practices of marketing within an educational setting
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with experience in event-planning and management and a proven ability to work both under pressure and autonomously
• Strategic planning and analytical skills
• A ‘can-do’ attitude with a willingness to get ‘stuck in’, roll up sleeves and manage one’s own workload
• Innovative, creative with a willingness to try new and different approaches
• Personal warmth, empathy and a demonstrable ability to build rapport and to interact with people at all levels
• Articulate, constructing messages which are clear, convincing and appropriate to the relevant medium/audience

• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to see multiple projects through to completion

• University graduate or equivalent

The Role:

Marketing and Communications:
• Alongside the Senior Team, development and implementation of an integrated marketing and communications strategy
• Developing a strategic marketing plan for the next three years (and beyond)
• Responsible for the design and production of the School’s internal and external marketing materials and publications
• Management of communications with national and local press
• Management of the School’s advertising campaigns across a range of media
• Management and development of the School website
• Management of on-line and digital communications
• Management of Social Media platforms
• Ensuring relationships with feeder schools and nurseries are strong and well managed
• Conducting market research to ensure that the school continues to develop in line with the expectations of its Local Governing Body and United Learning
• Recommending and implementing tactical promotions and direct mail campaigns where appropriate
• Event management: organising internal events and representing the school at external events
• Managing the school’s relationship with its external marketing agencies and all consultants, ensuring value for money and good working relationships.

Admissions - working with the School’s Registrar:
• Oversight and development of marketing strategy to boost admissions including analysis of demographics, mosaic data and bus routes to reach new catchment areas
• Staging and oversight of admissions events, including open days and taster days.
