This fixed term cover is to cover maternity leave.
This post’s main functions are to support the delivery of high quality social work activities with the Hull Children’s Social Care Practice Model through the provision of administrative and liaison duties for a multi-disciplinary group of professionals and to actively work as part of the whole service system, supporting colleagues in the day to day running of the service area.
In addition to this, Team Coordinators can initiate on issues and actions which arise following discussions from reflective meetings ensuring children, young people, families and carers immediate needs are met.
The role includes:
The organisation of a variety of meetings within statutory and procedural timescales
Providing a high quality and efficient point of contact
Maintaining awareness of children and family circumstances
Responsibility for supporting the Team Manager to organise case meetings
Responsibility for minute taking for statutory meetings
The applicant will need to be familiar with Children's Social Care Services and the needs of children and young people who are looked after by the Local Authority and they will need to be focussed on the needs of children. They should have professional communication skills, IT skills and be capable of working to tight deadline, prioritising workload using their own initiative.
The post involves working with Social Workers, Finance staff, Procurement colleagues and other professionals across the Council as well as external agencies and private providers.
