Bishop Burton College includes the Riseholme College campus and the postholder may be required to carry out duties at both campuses.The following list of duties and responsibilities is not meant to be exclusive.  It should be taken as an indicator of the type and level of activity expected of this post.  The list does not represent either priorities or frequency of tasks and should be regularly updated by the post holder in consultation with and agreement of their line manager.

This is a broad ranging marketing and PR role.

  • Support the delivery of the marketing strategy, raising brand awareness and support overall recruitment objectives in consultation with College managers and staff.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of marketing and PR activities.
  • Help drive further education and higher education student recruitment at the College through a range of marketing campaigns.
  • Work with other marketing team members to ensure key marketing events, including College Open Days, public events, shows and careers events are delivered to budget and the highest possible standards.
  • Liaise with all College departments, including academic teams, catering, estates and IT to ensure all event details are communicated effectively.
  • Produce formal marketing activity and event reviews and reports, as appropriate.
  • Where necessary, attend external events, including schools events, careers events and shows to promote the College to a wide and diverse audience.
  • Act as a point of contact for the College’s Marketing team with partner education providers, as appropriate.
  • Help create literature, invitations and other appropriate marketing / promotional materials.
  • Deliver media relations activity and support with communications
  • Generate content for use on College social media platforms and for use in press releases and other promotional materials.
  • Ensure delivery of clear internal communications through a range of platforms and channels.
  • Create briefings and take detailed notes and minutes at marketing and events planning meetings.
  • Take part in all staff College events such as Lambing Sunday and Open Farm Sunday
