We are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Engineer will be responsible for effectively completing engineering tasks within the maintenance team and following the departmental systems to ensure that task completion is carried out efficiently and effectively.

We are looking for an individual who is flexible and has the ability to work shifts. Someone who can work well under pressure, whilst paying attention to detail and ensuring that the 5S’s Ethos is adhered to. The role requires someone who has determination and self-motivation, who can analyse and problem solve, as well as identify opportunities for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should be able to manage their time effectively, communicate successfully and adapt within a fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks as requested and communicate ongoing work effectively.
  • Fault find on Electrical / Mechanical systems.
  • Responsible for the completion of pre-task safety reviews, ensuring all safety precautions are demonstrated and adhered to.
  • Adhere to all departmental systems and understand prioritisation where necessary.
  • Source components / materials and place orders as necessary.

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in an electrical / mechanical discipline.
  • Health and Safety Awareness. 
  • Effective knowledge of PUWER, COSHH and LOLER regulations.
  • IT Literate.

Desirable Criteria 

  • Counterbalance RTITB.
  • Qualified to HNC electrical / mechanical engineering.  
  • 17th Edition.
  • Portable Appliance Testing Qualification.
  • IPAF Access Platforms Certificate.
  • Fabrication experience.
  • Fire and Asbestos Awareness

Candidates will be required to attend an interview/presentation and demonstrate their ability to carry out the role; a probationary period will be applied to a successful internal candidate.
