The post holder will need to establish mechanisms for the participation and engagement of Parents and Carers of Children and Young People with SEND in line with the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice, and ensure that parents and carers of disabled children in Barnsley are enabled to work with the Local Authority, Education settings, Health providers and other providers to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of disabled children and families.
