Hull City is seeking to recruit a new Senior Designer to act as the creative lead for the Club within the Marketing and Communications Department. The successful candidate should be committed, passionate and able to lead by example in a team responsible for communicating our journey in an engaging way for supporters.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Club is presented professionally and consistently on all channels
  • Support the Marketing Department by bringing briefs to life through the creation of innovative and original designs; specific focus on marketing campaign assets (digital and print), sponsorship selling tools as well as venue/ events products and sales tools
  • Design of commercial and brand marketing assets including, but not limited to, POS (digital and print), email banners, digital/web banners and graphics, branding, signage, leaflets, presentations etc.
  • Working with the Marcomms team and creative agencies (where appropriate) to develop and improve the brand’s visual identity, exploring new trends and techniques
  • Following design direction and style guidelines for the brand, helping to create and drive Hull City’s design direction across multiple platforms and mediums
  • Champion and uphold the Club’s brand values and identity, ensuring guidelines are adhered to
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders where required, including external agencies to ensure brand and communication consistency
  • Following efficient resourcing and scheduling processes for all design and build projects
  • Regular alignment with the Brand Manager and Press & Communications Officer, Retail, IT, Ticketing and Commercial teams
  • Liaise with IT, CRM, and the web teams for the design/ build of assets including web pages, email, and digital display ads
  • Adhoc wider support for the Head of Marketing & Communications

Applicants are expected to possess a relevant graphic design qualification and have experience working in a fast-paced creative environment, designing for both print and web. Skills in illustration, 3D drawing and animation are also highly desirable.
