Assistant Management Accountant

Based - Humber Quays, Hull, HU1 2BN
Permanent/Full Time Role

Responsibilities 

Duties will include;

  • Prepare accurate monthly reports from the company’s accounting records to assist the Management Accountant in the preparation of the month end accounts.
  • Prepare monthly nominal journals
  • Detailed overhead analysis on a monthly basis
  • PAYE reconciliations
  • Analysis for management information packs
  • Accruals and Prepayments
  • Create a monthly plant P&L
  • Transactional processing for all subsidiaries
  • Cashflow management for subsidiaries
  • Credit Control process for subsidiaries
  • Updating the fixed asset register including acquisitions, additions, disposals, depreciation.
  • Any other adhoc tasks as required.
  • Ensure adherence to all company and statutory policies and reporting requirements

Person Specification

  • Self-starter
  • Aptitude to assimilate technical knowledge.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Desire to succeed and advance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Knowledge of VAT and CIS legislation
  • Computer literacy with good organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • AAT Qualified
