LEAP, as a directorate supports all aspects of learning and teaching across the university and the role of learning technologist within the team is to provide first-point-of-contact support for Teaching and Learning Enhancement Officers and Advisors with technical support and practical solutions to issues around technology in the classroom.
Applicants will have a degree or equivalent in Learning Technologies, Digital Learning, or have similar professional accreditation such as CMALT.
The successful candidate will be required to use their own initiative to resolve support calls where possible or triage them effectively to appropriate members of staff. The role will involve supporting the development of learning resources as required for both directorate projects and within the faculties of the university.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own workload and plan and prioritise project work as demand requires as well as contribute to the overall development, direction and improvements within the department.
