Key Responsibilities of a Materials Quality Auditor
To conduct all relevant checks on incoming materials against documented regimes, recording all results as appropriate
Contact with suppliers regarding material issues, creating and issuing Supplier Fault Notifications where appropriate
Monitor shelf life of materials and liaise with production to ensure materials are used in rotation, or carry out further action to ensure the material is not wasted (e.g. shelf life extension / freezing, etc.)
Ensure certificates of analysis / conformity are received as required. Where appropriate; contact suppliers to request these.
Assist production in resolving any material issues ensuring that finished product quality, safety and legality is never compromised.
Material Quality Auditor Skills
Previous experience is beneficial but not essential as we are looking for someone who is able to communicate at all levels, enjoys resolving problems and has the ability to positively challenge.
The ability to be self-organised and detailed would greatly assist in this busy and challenging role.
You will have excellent written and oral skills, be able to analyse data to report on findings and ideally you will be computer literate. Deliveries may arrive throughout the day; therefore some flexibility to working hours may be required.
