As a result of the transformation, an excellent opportunity for a strong Project Quantity Surveyor has arisen. You will be based at the Humber Bridge, Hessle to take on a technically-challenging role to provide quantity surveying, commercial management, construction procurement and contract administration services to the Engineering and Infrastructure Department in the delivery of all maintenance projects, ensuring the effective and timely delivery to meet design and asset management objectives, whilst achieving value for money.
In this autonomous role you will be responsible for ensuring the Humber Bridge adopt best practice procurement and that the contract strategy is appropriate, as well as providing professional advice to Senior Management Team, partners and stakeholders. You will also project-manage designated projects and external resources, whilst working collaboratively with your colleagues to develop and monitor the performance management of services and teams through the departmental business planning process to drive continuous improvement in the delivery of departmental outcomes.
The role will also include deputising for the Head of Engineering and Infrastructure as appropriate together with undertaking the role of NEC Project Manager in the contract administration of Humber Bridge major maintenance projects.
