City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC) is an independent, co-owned “for better profit” and co-owned Community Interest Company providing high quality local health and care services in Hull, the East Riding of Yorkshire, Knowsley, and St Helens.

At CHCP CIC we are committed to developing all of our staff and supporting them with training. Upon commencement of your role, we can support with your enrolment onto the Level 2 Functional Skills Maths & English course if you do not already have these qualifications to support with any future development. Job overview

 

We’re looking for a motivated and passionate energy, environment and sustainability manager to join our organisation.  You will take the lead on the development and delivery of sustainability across the CHCP Group. This is a really exciting role, in which you’ll be directly supporting the delivery of our climate ambitions which will be set out in our sustainability strategy.

The post holder will be responsible for developing and implementing the CHCP energy and sustainability strategy as well as helping drive sustainability throughout the full scope of CHCP services. You will also work closely with colleagues and external partners to help CHCP reach our energy and sustainability targets.

 

Main duties of the job

 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about sustainability, should have a solid understanding of Sustainability and the NHS Net Zero Agenda, excellent data analytical skills and a degree in an energy management/sustainability related subject. You'll also be comfortable sharing and presenting your ideas both internally and externally.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent
  • Specialist Energy and Sustainability training or experience
Desirable criteria
  • Postgraduate qualification.

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of UK legislation and NHS Sustainability agenda and other energy and environmental matters.
  • Effects of organisational impact on the environment
  • Good knowledge of project management principles
  • Budgetary and financial management skills for costing of projects and return on investments.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working on NHS Sustainability Programmes

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Specialist knowledge of Sustainability procedures and practices
  • Theoretical knowledge of the National Sustainability agenda, including the requirements of the NHS Sustainability Agenda and NHS contractual requirements.
  • Track record of sustainability and energy management within a complex organisation
  • Undertaking energy conservation surveys and producing action plans to provide a sustainable way forward for service delivery.
  • Evidence of managing a team, developing skills and ensuring the team is productive
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of working with budgets.
  • Evidence of performance management and meeting challenging targets.
