The Hull and East Yorkshire LEP (HEY LEP) is looking for Board members, who are committed to our region and have the right skills, experience and knowledge - as well as the energy, commitment and enthusiasm - to come together at this challenging time. As Board Members, you will be instrumental in taking and influencing decisions that will impact the local area, including strategic priorities for investment.
The creation of the HEY LEP heralds a new era for local communities, providing a unique opportunity to collaborate and build on the strong and enduring relationship between Hull and East Riding Councils and raising the profile of the area and its importance internationally, nationally and regionally as it emerges from the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and to help the region grow a strong and resilient economy.
The new LEP is committed to diversity and are keen to hear from underrepresented groups from our local economy and geography. We are particularly keen to hear from women and black and minority ethnic (BAME) individuals, as well as from entrepreneurs and people working in fast-growing sectors such as digital, creative and health.
This role is voluntary and unremunerated. Members will be required to attend Board meetings plus a number of other LEP related meetings, in addition to representing the LEP at events and acting as an ambassador for the region.
