A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced HR professional to join our Human Resources team as Human Resources Manager. You will provide assistance to the Head of HR in supporting the business needs and ensuring the implementation of the Firm’s people strategy and objectives.


The Role:

Responsibilities will include;

  • In conjunction with the Head of HR, ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current employment law.
  • Day to day responsibility for the HR team comprising of two HR Officers and an HR Administrator.
  • Assisting the Head of HR in leading and directing the HR team to deliver a comprehensive and proactive first class service to the business.
  • Co-ordinate and manage fee-earner recruitment and selection and oversee support recruitment which is carried out by the HR Officers.
  • Provide support and advice to Department Heads and Line Managers on a variety of areas including employee relations, HR policies and procedures and performance management.
  • Assist in managing the Firm’s annual salary review process by gathering and evaluating market data to measure the Firm’s competitiveness.
  • Deal with disciplinary/grievance issues.
  • Develop HR processes to ensure procedures are streamlined and efficient.
  • Involvement in the Firm’s Trainee Recruitment process.
  • Assist with learning and development requirements.
  • Other ad-hoc project work.

Your primary place of work will be Grimsby, however, travel to our other office locations will be required.



  • CIPD qualified or equivalent


Skills required:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of delivering a professional and commercial approach to HR, preferably within the legal sector or within professional services.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience of managing a team, actively supporting and developing team members.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to challenge and influence.
