ReNew is a free and confidential drug and alcohol service for adults, families, carers and affected others in Hull. We work in the community, encouraging residents to maintain their health and wellbeing, to help prevent them from entering our services.
ReNew is part of Change Grow Live, a national charity that supports people to change their lives for the better.
In 2017/18, 211,000 people across England, Scotland and Wales received support from Change Grow Live on their recovery journey.
In 2017/18, 17,658 people beat their addition with the help of one of Change Grow Live’s services.
Hull ReNew and Hull City Council has been handed £133,140 by Public Health England, which will be used in Hull to refurbish ReNew’s Bransholme-based alcohol hub.
Improvements to the existing hub will focus on those who receive support there from ReNew for their own alcohol problems, as well as their families. The building will be made more family-friendly, enabling family sessions to be held there. Group spaces as well as clinical facilities will undergo refurbishment. A mobile health and wellbeing van which delivers assessments and treatment across the city will also receive an upgrade, while further funding provide GP surgeries with specialist equipment.
