Partnering through a Crisis

To physically attend the Leaders Talk with Brigadier David Colthup on 22 July 2021 hosted by the British Army at Londesborough Barracks, Londesborough Street, Hull HU3 1DS.

An opportunity to hear and learn from one of the British Army's senior leaders.

Brigadier David Colthup was commissioned into the Green Howards in 1989 and has served worldwide, including on combat operations in the first Gulf War, Bosnia and Afghanistan He is currently Director of Operations at the Army
Recruiting and Initial Training Command Brigadier.

Colthup will explain how the revamped contract between the Army and Capita for recruiting not only turned poor performance on its head but created the environment for a strong collegiate partnering approach to recruiting for the Army which also sustained the operation through the crisis of the pandemic Despite a series of major knock backs, and
challenging Covid mitigations, the operation still delivered 100 of the Army’s demand for Regular officer and soldier entry Drawing on more than 30 years of military experience Brigadier Colthup will explain how mentoring and partnering on operations in Afghanistan provided many of the skills and the understanding to achieve success in an equally
challenging operational environment in the UK.
