Arts and culture have a clear economic impact with a vibrant cultural offer not only benefiting the sector, but ripples outwards to the wider tourism economy through to retail and hospitality leading to a thriving city. Hull faces a number of challenges – some common to city centres and high streets across the country and some unique to us.
We believe that arts and culture has a key role to play in revitalising the city and in tackling some of the social issues, supporting social mobility, raising aspirations and providing opportunities. The Absolutely Cultured Culture Club is an opportunity for those businesses who believe in the value of arts and culture and the impact it can have, but more importantly it is for those who are part of the fabric of the city, those who want to see it succeed and see our communities thrive. It is for those who want to shape the future and be a continuing part of the city’s story.
