Global safety leader Ansell has become the latest company to join Marketing Humber as a Major Partner.
The team at Ansell, who join the network of 250+ regional business partners and stakeholders known as ‘Bondholders’, is passionate about promoting the Humber for future prosperity, attracting investment and retaining and harnessing talent in the local area.
Ansell’s UK hub is based in Willerby, a critical facility for their Global Chemical Solutions Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The company works in close partnership with the University of Hull and others in researching and developing state-of-the art safety and PPE solutions.
Ansell is already acting as an ambassador for the Humber, fuelling the local economy and placing the Humber on the map by increasing its market share nationally and internationally.
The PPE giant is helping our region to lead the way in the provision of safety solutions for industry and healthcare. Ansell recently celebrated their 125th anniversary and have a long history in keeping people safe and protected.
Paul Bryce, Vice President & General Manager at Ansell (UK) Limited, said: “Our purpose is to reduce or eliminate occupational disease and we have always shown commitment to the community. Joining Marketing Humber is the next logical step, particularly during the COVID-19 crisis when there are several areas where we could help. Marketing Humber’s Bondholder scheme offers us another way to demonstrate our pride in the region.”
As part of the membership, Ansell’s graduates and colleagues in their first and second stages of their career will also have access to the Young Talent Network. The Young Talent Network is a platform for ambitious and passionate people early in their career. The YTN offers an opportunity to build networks, make connections, enhance impact and demonstrate a collective voice.
With a global manufacturing footprint for gloves and protective clothing, Ansell employs over 13,000 people including manufacturing and administrative roles. Constantly reviewing its manufacturing carbon footprint, Ansell is keen to get involved in The Waterline campaign, working collectively with Marketing Humber and the University of Hull and key stakeholders to develop the region as a demonstrator of a zero-carbon economy.
Diana Taylor, Managing Director at Marketing Humber said, “We are really pleased to have Ansell join us as a Major Partner, adding their commitment and momentum to the future of our region. We’re excited to welcome Paul and his team to our network and look forward to the opportunities that this presents for all our Bondholders and our marketing activities and campaigns.”
