A major investment has been unveiled on the Humber quaysides, just weeks after the region’s freeport bid was successful.

New Holland Dock Wharfingers Ltd has spent £5 million on the South Bank - with a huge 109,700 sq ft warehouse the centrepiece.

Covering an area greater than eight Olympic swimming pools, it is 283m long and 36m wide, and is designed with multiple users in mind, with three 5m roller shutter doors.

It is complemented by six acres of secure concrete open storage, with an existing 60,000 sq ft shed also having a £300,000 refurbishment.
