A new campaign to attract doctors to work in general practice in our region is being launched. The campaign “Humber Coast and Vale – A Place of Opportunity” has been developed by the Humberside Group of Local Medical Committees Ltd, the body which represents GPs in our area.
The campaign will tackle the current recruitment problems in general practice by providing a dedicated website where candidates can find jobs and learn more about living and working in the area.
The new website www.generalpracticejobs.org.uk also provides a central place where practices will be able to put vacancies in front of the right people and make their jobs appeal to both new and experienced GPs, as well as other practice staff.
Dr Krishna Kasaraneni, Medical Director at Humberside Group of Local Medical Committees Ltd, says:
“There are long standing difficulties with recruiting new GPs and other staff to work in general practices in our area. With this new campaign we’re taking positive action to let candidates know what a great place this area is to live and work, and to help them find the right job.”
“We’ve also produced resources for GP surgeries to help them create advertising which will appeal to candidates and present the region as the great place we know it is.”
