Young Talent Network
Across the Humber there is a thirst for fresh talent and new energy, vital to secure the region’s legacy.
To address this need, and the recruitment and retention challenges faced by Bondholder businesses, Marketing Humber has created the Young Talent Network (YTN).
The YTN offers a forum for those at the beginning, or in the early stages of their career, across any industry or those in education and considering their future prospects. All we ask is that those getting involved with the network share our passion and ambition for the region.
Being part of the YTN provides opportunities to build networks, make connections, enhance impact and demonstrate a collective voice.
A growing programme of YTN events and activity is designed by, and for, young talent from across the region. This focuses on:
YTN Steering Group
To support the work and growth of the YTN, Marketing Humber work closely with a steering group of young talent from Bondholder businesses who have been nominated by their employers. The group meets to share ideas, feedback and discuss future activity.
Individuals from the YTN Steering Group represent a diverse mix of professions and industries including, professional services, creative & digital, manufacturing, construction and education.
Steering Group members are of vital importance to the success of the network and help to shape the strategy, along with the programme of diverse and engaging events and activities, delivered by Marketing Humber Bondholders.
#whereitbegins was created to demonstrate the great opportunities and varying careers available across the Humber and to support Bondholders to attract talent that will help the region thrive. The film presents case studies of young talented individuals who have started their professional lives within our businesses and organisations.
Bondholder ambassadors are encouraged to use the film when promoting recruitment and development opportunities using #whereitbegins.
SHAPING THE YOUNG TALENT CAMPAIGN
Bondholders worked with a focus group of 17-24 year olds to inform our campaign. This film was produced during the focus group and features seven 17-24 year olds, all in different stages of education and employment, discussing their experiences, motivations and ambitions to progress a career.
We also worked with a focus group of business leaders from across the Humber region. This film features eight business leaders, from a cross-section of industries, discussing their career history, experiences, motivations and ambitions.
